Devious SoundZ

Got Devious Cookies? What is Devious Cookies? Are they decietful snacks? Are they sweet and crunchy, but bad for your health? Do they taste good with bad intentions? No, but rather a term used by the 2 strong forces, Kingshon and Emillion, (beat producers) when sampling records and digging in the crates. Devious Soundz are the sounds in which the two have spent numorous years creating and perfecting. This sound was developed throughout the years from each individual, even long before they met one another. Emillion, or Emil for short, was repping the group Sinista Squad out of Paterson, New Jersey, which was founded by DJ Masta O. The two connected while attending college and began to

record and mixing hip hop tracks, almost immedietly building a chemistry and sharing similar interest. This took place around the years 2000 and 2001, and started off more or less as a hobbie or love for music. During the following years, Emil would team up with a few more members (mc's,engineers,producer's): Commanding General, and B.R., expanding the squad officially. It would only take a matter of time before the music became more serious and styles were developed. As more time went by, Don Will, (engineer for S.C.L), and B.R.'s younger brother Kingshon, would join the family. Rey,or Odisee[Kingshon] had grew up listening to the Squad, and inherited the raw sound that was being made and produced at the time. At 10, Kingshon was already memorizing lyrics and getting into producing by using his keyboard and learning software such as fruity loops on the computer. By now at 18, he's gone and produced a list of artist including; Cheena Black of Wu Tang's Chamber 6, Venomous Mc of Delinquent Soundz, Juganuat from the UK, and so on and so forth. From the keys, to the computer, to the mpc and even the mv board, there sound and library has grown drastically, and is still growing to this very day! All in hopes to restore and revive this beautiful culture and sound we call Hip Hop, with there original and distinctive sound known as Devious.
