Mr. Swagger


Began rapping aged 10 in Villa, Lusaka, Zambia after being inspired by
Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five.
Influenced by Big Daddy Kane, NWA, Ice-TBoogie Down Productions, Run DMC

Attended the Institute of Management of Information Systems (IMIS)

1999-Producer/Artist-Mondo Music Corporation. First professional
release on local compilation called “The Rhythm Nation Project
(Yo-Yamba)
.
2000-Began independent artist career & was featured on South Africa's
“Harambe Dope Sessions.”

2001-Became face of Mosi Lager appearing on all of their print and
electronic media in Zambia.

2002-2004-Voice of America based in Washington DC, appointed him as
the coordinator of their Hip-Hop Connection Fan Club.

2004-Entered rap battle that aired live on South African Broadcasting
Corporation
 (SABC) & took third place spot.
2005-partnered with Zambia’s Solid Rhythmz and together, released his
hit album “Officer in Charge” making him the first Zambian to release
a Hip-Hop album in that country.

2005-Featured in Future Music Magazine & reviewed by Tim Oliver. Two
months later, became first Zambian to perform at The Channel-O Video
Music Awards in South Africa.


2007-Featured in the UK’s Computer Music Magazine: May issue 112
receiving great reviews from industry insider Ronan MacDonald.
Appeared on Mixtape by Jay-Z’s former disc jockey, DJ Green Lantern
called MySpace Monster Mash and British disc jockey, DJ Ames, called
US-UK Takeover which also featured other artists such as Craig David,
Lil’ Wayne & many more.

Performed at numerous events including the Oxjam, organized by charity
organization, Oxfam.

2007-Took part in the MTV Hugo Urban Rules & was selected amongst 15
people out of 400 entries. He made the final top 5 but did not make
number one.
2008-Returned to Zambia & began working on second album, “Designer,”
released in March the same year.

2009-Recorded a song for the International Labor Organization that
spoke about Human Trafficking.
His label, Diamond Chain Services is now producing other artists and
helping them get their careers started.

“Play On” is aired on MTV Base and has been showing on that channel

His song, ‘Electric Boogie’ entered the YFM Hot 99 Hip-Hop charts
hosted by South Africa’s top Hip-Hop Dj, C-Live at No. 10. It's peak
position was No.2

While on promotional tour, he also conducted interviews with ETV of
South Africa.

On 8th November, 2009, BBC Network Africa conducted an 8 minute
interview with the artist in honor of his achievements as a Hip-Hop
artist. They also discussed his musical background, beliefs and his
stance on piracy. The interview was broadcast across Africa, Europe
and heard by billions around the world.

He just been elected as The Publicity Secretary for the Zambia
Association of Musician's (ZAM) the governing body of music in Zambia.


2009 (October) ‘Electric Boogie’ debut’s on the South Africa’s Hot 99
Hip-Hop Charts at No. 10.

2010 New single off the upcoming album 'O.G. (Original Gangsta)'
debuts on local radio and international television.

2010 Artist changes his name from C.R.I.$.I.$. to 'Crisis Mr. Swagger'
